The Viper remote may not activate for a variety of reasons. The parking lights will flash a set number of times when the remote is not working to indicate the possible source of the error.

1. With everything turned off in the van, open the hood and detach the negative terminal from the battery.
2. Wait about 30 seconds.
3. Reattach the negative terminal.
4. Start the van with the key.
5. Turn off and lock the van.
6. Start the van with the Viper remote.
