TV Not Working

TV Not Working

Confirmed Issue:

The Vizio television is not working.  The audio is not operating normally or the picture is cutting in and out.

Affected Units:

Any Vandoit van with a Vizio TV

Idea
See this video on how to operate the TV.

Resolution:

The TV may require a factory reset to resume normal operation.  There are two methods for performing a factory reset.

First method:
1. Unplug the TV from the power supply or turn off the breaker the TV is tied to.
2. Press and hold the power button on the TV set for 30 seconds. Release the power button.
3. Wait for 10 minutes and plug the TV set back into the power supply.
4. Press and hold the power button again on the TV set until it turns on.

Second method:
1. Turn off the TV but leave it plugged in.
2. Hold down both of the channel buttons on the TV remote.
3. Press and release the “Power” button on the TV remote.
4. Release the channel buttons.
5. Press the Vizio Menu button on the TV remote.
6. The TV should turn on and present you with the menu.
7. You should see an “F” in the bottom right to indicate that it is a factory setup screen.
8. Press and hold the “Menu” button for a few seconds.
9. You should see the Service Menu. From there, you can access factory reset options.
10. If resetting factory reset options does not resolve what you are experiencing, the TV may need an update.  To perform an update, you will need a wifi internet connection.

Info
It is also possible that the TV may be in the middle of an update. Turning the TV on and leaving it on for several minutes might allow for the update to fully download.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please submit a ticket through the Customer Support portal or email support@vandoit.com with a description of the TV's operation and which method of factory reset you have tried.
