Confirmed Issue:
The surfaces on the interior of the van create frequent static electricity.
Affected Units:
Any Vandoit van
Issue Explanation:
Static electricity is not uncommon inside the van, given the fabric headliner and metal structure of the interior. The static electricity may even be powerful enough to affect devices in the van, i.e. the inverter screen turns off when touched with a shock.
Considerations:
The large amount of metal on the interior of the van contributes to the generation of static electricity. In addition, cooler temperatures and lower humidity can contribute to the generation of static electricity. Pay attention to weather, geographic location, and clothing attire when static is occurring. Look for any patterns and send a message to the Vandoit Support Team with information on weather and humidity in your area when these static shocks happen.
Resolution:
Try rubbing high-touch areas with a dryer sheet.
