Rocker Switch Lights Do Not Turn Off

Rocker Switch Lights Do Not Turn Off

Confirmed Issue:

The lights on the rocker switches will not turn off.

Affected Units:

All Vandoit vans except those with Czone keypads

Summary:

In normal operation, the lights on the rocker switches remain on for three minutes after one of the switches has been pressed.  Even when the vehicle engine is turned off and this amount of time has elapsed, the lights on the rocker switches never turn off.

Explanation:

The most likely reason the rocker switch lights will not turn off is because a light bar, stereo, air compressor, or auxiliary switch have been left turned on.  If one of these switches is left turned on, the entire switch set will stay on.  Please note that the van does not need to have an air compressor installed for this issue to occur.  The two switches that do not turn off do not snap back when pressed.  They are located in the front and rear rocker switch sets in a LIV and in the in the front set in a DO.

Resolution:

1.  Make sure the vehicle engine is turned off.

2.  Make sure all rocker switches are flush with one another.

3.  Check to see if one of the switches named above in the Explanation Section is illuminated blue.

4.  If so, press the blue switch so it snaps back flush with the others and illuminates white.

5.  Wait three minutes and check to see if the rocker switch lights turn off.

6.  If steps 1 through 4 do not resolve the issue, please email support@vandoit.com or submit a ticket through the Customer Support portal so the Support Team can provide further steps.
