How to Prepare for a Call with Vandoit to Update the Mastervolt System

Confirmed Issue:
The Mastervolt system occasionally requires updates or adjustments that can only be made by a member of Vandoit's staff.  These updates and adjustments can be done remotely, but they require some preparation.

Affected Units:
All Vandoit vans with the Mastervolt lithium system

You will need the following items to prepare for the call:

1.  A Windows laptop or tablet that can receive downloads
2.  Internet access in your van
3.  An M4 Allen wrench
4.  The Masterbus Interface that Vandoit shipped to you

To prepare for the call, please do the following:

1. Remove the plexiglass cover from the face of your power box using an Allen wrench.
2. Locate the MacPlus. This is the teal device with silver ridges mounted on the wall of the power box. Remove a cable currently plugged into the MacPlus, and plug it into the interface. Find the teal cable that came with the Masterbus Interface.  Plug one end into the interface and the other end into the MacPlus, where you removed the first cable.

3. Find the white cable that came with the Masterbus Interface.  Plug one end into the interface and the other end into a Windows laptop or tablet.
4. Open an internet browser on the laptop or tablet.
5. Go to https://www.mastervolt.com/products/miscellaneous3/masteradjust-software/ and click "Download."  Follow the prompts to download the software to your laptop or tablet.
6. At the time of your call with Vandoit, go to https://sos.splashtop.com.
7. The website will automatically download a program for you; you should see a name like "SplashtopSOS.dmg."
8. Open the program and follow the instructions.
9. The program will create a 9-digit code; please share that code with the Vandoit staff on the phone. 

From there, the Vandoit team will be able to remotely control the laptop or tablet and conduct the needed programming.
