Gear Slide Pin Is Broken

Confirmed Issue:

The gear slide pin is malfunctioning or broken.



Affected Units:

Any Vandoit LIV van or any Vandoit DO or MOOV van with the optional gear slide. Note the instructions below do not apply to the optional split gear slide in some MOOV models.

Issue Explanation:

The gold pin on the underside of the gear slide controls the gear slide's ability to stop at intervals.  The pin can malfunction if the slide is fully extended while a person stands or jumps on it.  It can also malfunction due to stress and metal fatigue over time.

Resolution: 

Send photo(s) of the gold pin, along with a description of the pin's current malfunction and any activities/circumstances that led to its malfunction, to the Customer Support team by submitting a ticket through the Customer Support portal or emailing support@vandoit.com.
