Van Wrap Is Damaged

Van Wrap Is Damaged

Confirmed Issue:

The vinyl wrap on the van is peeling, bubbling, or has blemishes.

Affected Units:

Any Vandoit van with an optional vinyl wrap installed on the exterior

Issue Explanation:

Vinyl wraps are a human printed and applied product, thus they are not guaranteed to be without error. Cut marks, peeling, blemishes, and bubbles on a vinyl wrap install are normal and are expected to occur within an allowable tolerance level. Knowing this, we have found the closer you focus on customization details, the more small blemishes stand out. To maintain customer satisfaction, our customization services focus up to a 6" x 6" square. Meaning we do not focus on details or design pieces smaller than 6" x 6". Our installer guarantees and warranties work within this standard tolerance. For customization more detailed than this tolerance, you will need to provide "X" file, in "X" resolution, in "X" format. Be advised, we do not recommend or warranty wrapped vehicles that are customized beyond the standard 6" x 6" square.

Resolution:

1.  For peeling edges, try applying heat to the edges using a heat gun or hair dryer while gently pressing the edges into place.

2.  If applying heat does not correct the edges, try sealing them with one of these products: 3M Rubber and Vinyl 80 Spray Adhesive, 3M™ 8914ES Gloss Edge Sealer, or 3M Edge Sealer. 3950.

3.  For bubbles in the wrap, try gently flattening the bubble using a plastic razor blade.

If these resolution steps do not correct the blemishes in the wrap, submit a ticket through the Customer Support portal or email support@vandoit.com with a description of the troubleshooting steps you have tried and photo(s) of the blemishes.
