Transit Power Sliding Door Will Not Close/Open

Confirmed Issue:

The Ford Transit power sliding door operates intermittently and will not close/open properly.

Affected Units:

Any Vandoit van built on a 2020-2022 Ford Transit with a power sliding door.

Resolution:

1. Ensure the van is parked on flat ground and the Ford factory battery is charged.

2. Apply your body weight in order to push the sliding door completely closed.

3. Wait about five minutes.  The door should reset.  

4. If steps 1 and 2 do not close the door, try resetting the power sliding door by following these instructions from the Ford user manual:

Important: Make sure to complete this procedure within 10 seconds.

5. Regardless of the outcome of steps 1 and 2, Vandoit recommends scheduling an appointment at a local Ford dealership to have the door inspected and repaired.  It is possible that your van may fall under the attached Technical Service Bulletin.  Please notify the Customer Support Team about your Ford appointment by submitting a ticket through the Customer Support Portal or emailing support@vandoit.com.

We recommend printing the attached bulletin and bringing it with you to the Ford dealership.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, submit a ticket through the Customer Support Portal or email support@vandoit.com with a description of the steps you have taken and a video of the door's operation.
