Mastervolt Easyview 5 DC Low Voltage Alarms when using Rear Battery Disconnect Switch

Mastervolt Easyview 5 DC Low Voltage & Overload Alarms When Using Rear Battery Disconnect Switch

Confirmed Issue:

The Mastervolt Easyview 5 Monitor is sounding an alarm and showing both a CMR Inverter "DC Low Voltage" and an "Overload" message.

Affected Units:

Any Vandoit van with Mastervolt Lithium Battery System, Easyview 5 monitor, and Rear Battery Disconnect Switch installed.

Explanation:

When turning the red Rear Battery Disconnect Switch (aka Kill Switch) to "Off," the Mastervolt Easyview 5 displays a "DC Low Voltage" alarm and an "Overload" alarm for the CMR Inverter.

The "DC Low Voltage" alarm occurring when the Rear Battery Disconnect Switch is turned to "Off" is considered a correct function. This alarm comes up because turning the Rear Battery Disconnect Switch to "Off" cuts off 12v power to the inverter. Tap the "Snooze" button on the alarm screen to silence it.

When the Rear Battery Disconnect Switch is turned back to "On" and full power restored, it is likely there will be a red Alarm icon in the top left corner of the Easyview 5. Tapping it will display two alarms: "DC Low Voltage" and "Overload." Both of these alarms were triggered when the Rear Battery Disconnect was turned to "Off."

Resolution:
To clear these alarms, hold the Home button (small white circle at the bottom) on the Mastervolt Monitor, until the options pop up and tap 'Off'. Once your monitor has fully shut down, hold the home button again to turn your monitor back on. This should clear the alarms.  See the photos below:

IdeaTo prevent the alarms from occurring, Vandoit recommends turning the inverter off prior to disconnecting the system using the Rear Battery Disconnect Switch.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please submit a ticket through the Vandoit Customer Support Portal or email support@vandoit.com with a description of what you are experiencing, photo(s) of any alarms, and photos of each of the pages on the Mastervolt Easyview 5.
