Loose Bolt in Skeleton Frame Joint

Loose Bolt in Skeleton Frame Joint

Confirmed Issue:

The bolt in one of the aluminum skeleton frame joints has come loose.

Affected Units:

Any Vandoit van

Issue Explanation:

Due to movement and vibration, the bolts at the joints in the aluminum skeleton frame can come loose.

Resolution:

The bolt used in the joint pictured above is an M6 socket head bolt.  To get into that space and tighten the bolt, you will need a low-profile ratchet wrench or a 6mm stubby L-style Allen wrench.  Click on the links below to order these wrenches:

The stubby or ball-end wrench allows you to approach the bolt from more angles than a traditional Allen wrench. If the wrenches don't reach, you may need to disassemble part of the joint in order to get to the bolt.
