Espar Low Voltage Message

Espar Low Voltage Message - Digi-Max D-1000

Confirmed Issue:

The Espar heater thermostat displays a "Low Voltage" message on the screen and the Espar heater stops working.

Affected Units:

Vandoit vans with the Eberspaecher Espar heater installed

Issue Explanation:

The Low Voltage message occurs when the incoming voltage for the Espar system is below 10.5v for more than 10 seconds.  In your van, that power comes from the Vandoit electrical system.

Resolution:

1.  Ensure that your shore power cord--and the outlet it is plugged into--are working properly.  This article provides information on how to know that your van is charging from shore power.

2.  If you find a fault in the operation of the shore power cord or outlet, correct what is needed and charge your battery system from shore power or by driving the vehicle.  Once the battery system is charged to at least 80%, try running the Espar heater again.

3.  If step #2 resolves the issue, you may need to clear the Low Voltage message using the process below.

4.  If step #2 does not resolve the issue, send a photo of the battery percentage on your inverter screen to the Customer Support team by submitting a ticket through the Customer Support portal or emailing support@vandoit.com.
